My parents immigrated to O’ahu separately from China on a large cruise ship named the President Wilson. As a child I would take joy of looking through old family photo albums and pull my favorite photographs to keep for myself. This project draws from these albums and their immigration documents of their immigration. My work aim to start a conversation about my parents' complicated journey and to open a dialogue about others who left their home country.
